A Easter Scrapbooking Idea

With Easter coming soon, are you looking for ideas on how to preserve your precious memories? Then read on to find out how to make a cute pop-up chick in an egg for an Easter scrapbooking idea or card. Send this beautiful fun card to someone you love this Easter to brighten their day. They’ll really appreciate it more than a store bought card.

Step 1: Draw and then cut out the Easter chick and the egg along the black lines.

Step 2: cut the shell off the top of the egg along the black line.

Step 3: Glue the egg and shell top with the black lines facing down on to the back of wrapping paper. When its dry, cut it out, being careful to cut around the shape. If the back of the wrapping paper is white, making the shape hard to see, you can draw around the outside of the egg shape with a pencil to make it easier to see the outline.

Step 4: Glue the shell top with the wrapping paper on to the shell top of the chick. It’s very important that they line up or it might not work properly.

Step 5: fold the chick across just under the black line of its neck, then fold across the bottom part of the shell where the jagged long part of the crack points down. Make sure these folds go straight across the body.

Step 6: Glue the bottom half of the shell with the wrapping paper on to the chick. Glue the back of the bottom part of the chicks shell to the page, but make sure you only put glue on the bottom of the shell, no more than 1cm up from the bottom. If you put the glue too high, the chick can’t go down behind the shell.

Step 7: Wait till the glue dries, then you can make the chick pop up out of his shell and back in again.

I hope you enjoy this Easter scrapbooking idea and have lots of fun making it.
