All about scrapbooking embellishments

So what are scrapbooking embellishments I hear you ask? For a sterile scrapbooking definition:  an embellishment is any object that should increase the look of a scrapbook layout.
Unfortunately scrapbooking embellishments will not always improve the look of your layout. When starting out it is good to remember that sometimes less is more and you need to get the theme correct.
Scrapbooking Embellishments come in all different shapes, sizes and colors I have listed some of the more common categories:

Buttons
Buttons can be made of plastic, wood, metals and a lot more different types of stuff. An easy way to gain buttons is to take them off old clothes you don’t use anymore. These can also be purchased in lots.

Grommets
Basically grommets are the metal rings. The rings you put the laces from your shoes through, well that is a grommet. Grommets are becoming a very common scrapbooking embellishment.

Sequins
Are small round flat plastic discs that come in many colors and sizes. They also sparkle in the light, so can be used for many themes, such as a disco or for a dress in layout.

Tags
These are rectangle, square or ovals that you can cut and paste into your layout. Can be made on your computer, bought in paper form or downloaded from the internet for digital scrapbooking.

Stickers
They can be used on your layout to stick light things down, like photos or ribbon, but not heavy things, like brads.

If you are thinking about purchasing scrapbooking embellishments online, I would strongly suggest one of the online stores we have on our store page as I have dealt with these people on multiple occasions and have only had good experiences with them.
